VIRTUAL SHOWROOM

The Shard, London, Elbphilharmonie, Hamburg, the Eye, Amsterdam: As a specialist for large, seamless and visually smooth ceilings with acoustically insulating features, Switzerland based BASWA AG is involved in many exciting construction projects.

Beyond seamless ceilings, BASWA and a consortium of partners offer a vast array of products for ceiling construction and peripherals: thermal regulation of cooling and heating functions, invisible built-in loudspeakers, acoustic and thermal insulation, spotlights and lighting systems etc.

To optimally present the large variety of systems and components to potential customers and architects, BASWA took a courageous step, by switching over to virtual product presentations: In a cooperation over several months, NORD XR developed a virtual showroom tailored to the exact purpose of demonstrating their product range in a virtual environment. The VR showroom is now in-use by their sales staff and greatly received by BASWA’s customers.

ONE SHOWROOM. THOUSANDS OF POSSIBILITIES.

Some of the possibilities the VR showroom offers: Virtual presentation of the construction of several ceiling systems (BASWAPhon Fine, BASWAPhone Classic, BASWA Cool and BASWA Core), presentation of the flush-mounted loudspeakers by PURSonic including visualization of the structure, physical simulation of the acoustics with and without insulation systems , simulation of the thermal regulation of BASWA Cool, presentation of the spotlight system developed by PSLab etc.

To have all these products presented at the customer, one would have to drive at least a small truck to get all the physical samples aboard, while thanks to the purely virtual showroom, only a single, COMPACT CASE is needed to present the company’s full product range on site.

MINIMALISTIC WHITE ROOM

To create this almost photorealistic VR showroom, our team relied on UNREAL ENGINE and our proprietary XR development platform BEAMFORGE to design a minimalist “White Room” where the components of BASWA AG are in focus. Furnished with only two Barcelona chairs, a distraction-free, light-flooded VR showroom was created that met the demands of our customer without being intrusive.
